Classes

Level 1

Introduction to water safety and skills. Minimum age is 3 years old. The objective of the Level 1 class is to teach water safety through: front and back floating without support; rollling from front to back float; turning back to the wall; mouth and nose bubbles and fully submerging under the water. Introduction of freestyle and back stroke.

Level 2

Stroke development and improvement. Students in this class MUST be comfortable submerging, being on their back, and have basic skills in arm movement and kicking. The objective of the Level 2 class is to build upon skills learned in Level 1; introduction of body and head position, “line” in freestyle and backstroke; rhythmic breathing in freestyle.

Level 3

The objective of the Level 3 class is to build upon skills learned in Level 2. Introduction to breaststroke and butterfly. 

Private Lessons

Private lessons are scheduled at your convenience. Speak with your instructor about specific goals and skills you would like worked on.

Parent and Child Lessons

Parent and Child lessons are focused on helping parents build the skills to teach confidence and fun in the water to their child. Lessons are focused on play based skills and water acclimation. 

Parents MUST be in the water with their child. One adult per child. 

Adult Learn to Swim

Focused on teaching adults skills to improve comfort level and swimming ability in the water. This class is for adults who would like to become more proficient in the water and learn to swim. 

Red Cross Lifeguarding

The American Red Cross lifeguard classes are designed to deliver valuable information while preparing you to be a lifeguard.

Guppies (Pre- Team)

The Pre-Swim Team group is for swimmers who may be too advanced for lessons but not quite ready for swim team. 

Swimmers in this group will learn the fundamentals of swimming as a sport; competitive strokes, streamline, kick, and turns. 

Adult Learn to Lap

Adult Learn to Lap is focused on improving swimming technique, endurance, and over all fitness. 

CPR/AED and first aid; STSC In-water skills

This all encompassing course is designed to fulfill USA Swimming requirements for both the CPR/AED and First aid as well as the in water portion of STSC.
